Prepare your maps for the trip
A few minutes of preparation makes the guides easier to use when you arrive.
- Open each needed guide or map before you leave home.
- Save a local copy to the device you will carry in the park.
- Confirm your route matches your vehicle, equipment, and experience.
- Recheck MERUS operating conditions before traveling.
- Follow park staff, onsite signs, closures, and current check-in instructions.
- Bring water, required safety equipment, and a backup navigation plan.
