MERUS Adventure™ Park
in Palo Duro Canyon.
Texas Toyota Takeover is a family-friendly event with fun activities for everyone in the group!
As the first & only Toyota exclusive event in the beautiful Palo Duro Canyon, Texas Toyota Takeover is well on the way to becoming the premier Toyota event for the off-road and overlanding community.
No matter your skill or your experience, there will be fun for everyone, including guided tours, vendor booths, group meals, and vehicle test tracks. We encourage you to bring your friends and your family and explore it for yourself.
Camping & lodging
Camping fees are included in the ticket price for the event. Camping will be in a centralized location that provides easy access to vendors, meals, and meeting areas. MERUS events are known for their sense of community and we believe that having a centralized camping ground promotes this in a strong way.
If you don’t wish to camp at the main location, you can choose to reserve one of our campsites throughout the park or book an RV hookup site, cabin, or glamping site by clicking the button below!
Bathrooms and shower facilities will be available at the main office building near the entrance to the park.
who will be there?
Texas Toyota Takeover is exclusively a Toyota (this includes Lexus brand vehicles) event, but all Toyota enthusiasts are welcome! Whether you drive a Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner, or something else, all platforms are welcome.
Part of the fun of off-roading comes from the community, so whether you are new to off-roading or a seasoned expert, we want to bring together true enthusiasts who love to face challenges and grow their skills.

This ticket covers the cost of one off-road vehicle & driver for the whole weekend. Meals and camping fees are included.

Event Ticket (Ages 13 & Up) $197
This ticket is for anyone wanting to join in on the event but is not bringing an off-road vehicle. Cost covers being a passenger, meals, and camping fees.

Children (Ages 12 & Under) FREE!
Families are welcome and encouraged to join us! Children 12 and under are free but will need to have the provided waiver filled out.
All ticket sales are final and refunds cannot be issued.

The Texas Toyota Takeover has a rig capacity, so we encourage you to reserve your spot early. Registration will close on June 4th, 2022.
Texas Toyota Takeover is an exclusive Toyota event. Lexus brand vehicles are included and welcome! You are welcome to come check out the event, but we will be restricting trail access to Toyota & Lexus vehicles only and the park will be closed to the general public for the weekend.

The cost of registration includes camping fees at our designated event camping location. If you wish to reserve one of our specific campsites, RV sites, or cabin/glamping sites, you will need to make a reservation separate from the event registration. Click here to book a campsite.
We have RV hookup sites and boondocking sites available to book separately through our website. First come first serve. RV sites are not included in event price. Book your site here!
There will be public showers and restrooms available at the park main office.
We get it, there’s nothing better than gathering around the campfire after a day on the trails. However, MERUS Adventure™ is currently observing a strict fire ban. Propane pits and cooktops are permitted and acceptable. NO WOOD, CHARCOAL, OR NATURAL BURNING FIRES ARE ALLOWED.
In addition, we ask that smokers be prepared to distinguish their cigarettes/cigars in their vehicle. This park is precious to us and we work hard daily to protect it. If you are found to violate these rules, you will be reminded once then asked to leave the park on repeated instances.

Absolutely! What is going to make this event so amazing is the opportunity for a great time for every skill level. Our platinum sponsor, Street Toyota, will be providing vehicles to test drive, a test course to try your vehicle out on, and education on the basics of operation. On top of that, MERUS Adventure™ will be running guided trail runs for those that want to participate. These tours will range from absolute beginner to trail veterans that wants to get after it!
MERUS is so much more than just an off-roading park. We offer world class camping, hiking, mountain biking, and more.
However, our off-roading is limited to 4×4 vehicles only. This is for safety on everyone’s part. We do encourage 4×2 vehicles to still come out and participate in testing out a 4×4 Toyota and experiencing an incredible event with like minded individuals and groups.
Absolutely! We love having pets and furry family at the park. The canyon does provide many natural hazards, in addition to the many vehicles at this event. So for the safety of the animal, we do require pets to be leashed and in your full control at all times.
Open alcoholic beverages and consumption are prohibited in off-road-vehicles during use on trails, in public parking areas. Alcohol consumption is allowed in designated camping and event areas only. Violators will be asked to leave the event.
